A modern replacement for
Mavenlink / Kantata Certinia BigTime BQE CORE Harvest Replicon

🚀 Flagship Product

CronoTracker

A full professional services automation platform - time tracking, project management, resource planning, and utilization reporting - built from scratch because the tools that do this well all cost a fortune, and the cheap ones cut corners in exactly the wrong places.

Whether you're running a five-person agency or a 200-seat consulting firm, CronoTracker scales with you: role-based permissions, multi-org tenancy, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and enterprise-grade resource management included.

  • Weekly timesheets with one-click period copy and approval workflows
  • Project Gantt charts, task boards, and budget tracking
  • Resource management - capacity planning and schedule views
  • Utilization reporting - billable vs. non-billable breakdowns by team member
  • SAML 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM 2.0 SSO with Azure AD sync
  • Custom roles, org-level permissions, and multi-tenant support
  • Customer and account management with rep assignment
  • Scheduled report delivery and exportable data
  • Native Android app for on-the-go timesheet submittions

How We Compare

There are a lot of PSA tools out there.
Here's an honest look at the landscape.

We built CronoTracker because we used most of these tools and ran into the same problems with each of them. Make of that what you will.

Mavenlink / Kantata

Still one of the most capable PSA platforms on the market, but pricing starts at a level that's hard to justify for most agencies. The rebrand to Kantata didn't change the cost model. CronoTracker covers the same core territory - timesheets, projects, resource management, utilization - and lets you see exactly what you're paying before you commit to anything.

Certinia (FinancialForce)

Certinia runs on top of Salesforce, which means you need an active Salesforce subscription before you can log a single hour. If your org is already deep in the Salesforce ecosystem, that's fine. If you just want PSA software, you're paying for a CRM platform you may not need. CronoTracker is standalone - no prerequisites, no implementation partner required.

BigTime & BQE CORE

Both have been around for a long time and have a loyal user base for good reason. They're solid tools. They also carry the UX debt that comes with tools built in an earlier era of web software. CronoTracker was written from scratch in the last few years - SSO, SCIM, and custom role-based permissions were built in from day one, not bolted on later.

Harvest & Toggl Track

Both are genuinely good at what they do: tracking time. Where they stop short is everything a services team needs around the time data - resource planning, approval workflows, utilization reporting, project financials. CronoTracker starts where Harvest and Toggl leave off, without asking you to switch tools.

Replicon & Teamwork

Replicon is a serious enterprise product with enterprise pricing and enterprise onboarding to match. Teamwork sits more in the project management space but tries to stretch into PSA territory with integrations. CronoTracker's Enterprise tier - resource management, SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning - is available without a custom quote or a multi-week sales process.

Monday.com & Asana

Genuinely good general-purpose project tools. If you need a PSA - with timesheets, billable hour tracking, approval workflows, utilization data, and project financials - you'll spend a lot of time building workarounds in both platforms. CronoTracker is purpose-built for time-based service delivery. Those features aren't plugins; they're the whole point.

Built by consultants,
for consultants.

CronoTech Consulting is a technology firm based in Louisville, Kentucky, founded by Andrew Hatton. CronoTracker exists because we were the customer first - managing projects, tracking billable time, and dealing with the same overpriced, underperforming PSA tools everyone else complains about.

We're practitioners, not vendors. Everything we offer is something we use and build ourselves. CronoTracker is the tool we wished existed, so we built it. Our hosting infrastructure runs our own services. Our consulting practice is grounded in real-world delivery experience.

Whether you're looking for a Mavenlink replacement, need reliable hosting, or want a technical partner for a custom build - we treat every engagement as a long-term partnership, not a transaction.
